Michael Jordan ended his career in 2003, but for sneaker enthusiasts he is hotter than ever.

At an auction a few days ago, a pair of Jordan's old shoes were sold for a whopping 1.5 million dollars (which is almost 13 million kroner), a useful record for match shoes according to the auction company Sotheby's.

The white Nike Air Ships, played in by Jordan in 1984, during his fifth game with the Chicago Bulls and have his signature. The previous record that has now been broken was in 2020 when a pair of Air Jordans were sold for 615,000 dollars (roughly SEK 5 million).

However, this is not the most expensive shoes sold, but a pair of Nike Air Yeezy 1 worn by Kanye West for 1.8 million dollars (almost SEK 15.5 million).
